Dutch degree

Dutch degree
An English-language comparative one year programme spent in intensive training and study in the Netherlands will prepare successful graduates for positions in middle management in international companies in the agribusiness and food industries. Graduates will have first-hand knowledge of practice in one of the EU countries traditionally successful in this sector, even on the European market, and so gain valuable insight into the contrasts in business culture and
work ethics existing between regions in Europe.

The courses train for a Dutch State Engineer degree. The Dutch Engineer degree is considered equivalent to the British BSc. (Hons.) and the French Licence Professionelle. This University sector degree is nationally accredited, and internationally recognised by companies and civil authorities as an excellent basis for upper and middle management functions. The courses offered cover the final specialisation year of a programme that normally takes four years to complete. The programmes, however, are professionally oriented, which implies that they promote skills in the practical applicability and transferability of research rather than focusing on the more radical and fundamental types of research itself.

The courses of the one year programmes  take up 40-42 working weeks and comprise 60 European Credits in the European Credit Transfer System. The courses start September 2010, graduation is in July 2011.

The courses of the 1,5 year programmes take up 63 working weeks and comprise 90 European Credits in the European Credit Transfer System. The courses start September 2010 and take 1,5 year to finish.

Holidays are at Christmas, and in the summer period.
